If you’re a true Scent Addict (which we suspect you are, given you’re reading this post), you may already know that A Tahaa Affair is Glasshouse Fragrances' bestselling fragrance. Inspired by a dreamlike sojourn to its namesake island, it’s an indulgent gourmand that spotlights notes including Butterscotch, Salted Caramel, exotic white florals and Sandalwood. Since launching fifteen years ago, countless brands have tried to replicate its special magic. But while they’ve been attempting to clone it, we’ve been busy building its legacy.
In 2015, we added a complimentary 250mL Fragrance Diffuser to the original candle collection. Then, in January 2020, we refreshed both the packaging and the vessel and upgraded the existing paraffin wax formula to a new proprietary soy wax blend made exclusively for us by some of the world’s leading candle experts.
Next, we transformed A Tahaa Affair into a perfume. The process involved enlisting lauded French perfumer Dominique Bouley to reimagine the original home fragrance as a complex scent that was fit for personal wear. With Bouley’s help, we came up with A Tahaa Affair Devotion EDP. Haven’t had the pleasure of experiencing it? It captures the spirit of the OG Tahaa scent (Butterscotch-covered Caramel) but features additional notes like Vanilla Orchid, Tahitian Foliage, sun-dried Driftwood, Coconut Water, Musk and a sparkling Sea Accord.
In 2022, to celebrate 15 years of Tahaa, we took A Tahaa Affair Devotion EDP and made it into a limited edition candle. More floral and feminine than the original, it’s a delight for existing Tahaa fans and newbies alike. Plus, both the wax and vessel are rendered in Tahaa pink in a nod to the original packaging.
